A pools-t sister project titled pools-m has just started on December 1st. The project will exploit the results of the ongoing pools-t by preparing interfaces for the TextBlender for Lithuanian and Turkish:-)

Navigation buttons

The example in each page, is (how shall I describe it?) more profound? Flashy? than the actual buttons you have to use. So we had the case of someone to get confused at the beginning.

Placement of optional description should be before “Hyperlinked word script engine developed 2009 by Kent Anderse”

At the page “Instructions and information for the end user”, we believe that if you type in an optional description at the end that is referring to the specific subject, it should appear at the webpage before the final description of the tool “Hyperlinked word script engine developed 2009 by Kent Andersen………”.

Empty window after a paste of text

When you paste a text you have to know that the cursor has gone down otherwise you see an empty window and you believe you just failed to paste the text.

“change the text font” does not work

Although at the page where we put the text we pressed the button “change the text font” and chose italic, nothing changed at the text either at the pasted text at the tool or later at the webpage.

Texts, images, etc, are saved but not the dictionary and the media.

When you press the button “Exit with possible saving” (why possible?), the texts, images, etc, are saved but not the dictionary and the media. You have to select them from the beginning.

Change instruction text when inserting text or graphics

The instructions at the page where you put the text are the same and refer to the previous page and this is confusing

Position of “click when the text is ready”

The button “click when the text is ready” should be clear at the end (as Helen suggested).

Sudden and unexpected jump directly to the next page

After the double click at the chosen local audio file, it takes you directly to the next page. You don’t use the button “next”. This is very sudden and unexpected and you don’t have the chance to check it. If you go back to check it, you loose it and you have to do it from the beginning.
